The maintenance of your Braking System is one of the most important things on your bike. A worn brake block or for that matter the Rim (if worn by the Brake Pad) it sits on can be very dangerous. Some Rims e.g. Carbon need special brake blocks. The cable maintenance or replacement is also very important, cables stretch or get worn and these will all need replacing.
Please Note:
It is not often noticed but a Brake Block can worn to a dangerous level, if the ‘housing’ of the Block Mount comes into contact with the rim this can either damage the rim or in the worse case scenario – go through it!
