We could probably fill many pages with the problems that can happen from badly sitting cranks! Problems can stem from the incorrect insertion of the Bottom Bracket Axle, wrong Ball Bearings (now almost certainly in a ball race), incorrectly tightened Cranks, Pedals or Crank Arms. The noise from any of these will drive you mad!
Please Note:
We often need to take out the Bottom Bracket Axle and check the fitting in the frame, we have found that even from some very well known high street shops that these have been fitted incorrectly. We will endeavour to fix these problems but apart from the annoyance factor this can be very dangerous if left uncorrected!
